"Stiletto" by Daniel O'Malley serves as a sequel to his acclaimed debut novel, "The Rook," and continues to explore the intriguing blend of supernatural elements and espionage within a unique bureaucratic setting. O'Malley crafts chapters that are rich in detail, exploring themes of identity, loyalty, and the moral implications of wielding power in a world filled with extraordinary abilities. The plot centers around characters like Myfanwy Thomas, who continues her role in navigating both the Checquy and her own mysterious past, while new characters add depth and complexity to the story.
