As Korede contemplates her complicity in Ayoola's crimes, she must also deal with her own unrequited love for a doctor at her hospital who seems to be infatuated with Ayoola. The juxtaposition of Korede's mundane professional life with the chaotic reality of her sister's actions underlines the tension that drives the narrative. Overall, "My Sister, the Serial Killer" is a compelling examination of family loyalty and the lengths one will go to protect those they love, even when faced with the most morally ambiguous circumstances.
