As part of her training, Kel engages in physical and tactical exercises, developing her combat skills and demonstrating her capabilities in ways that challenge the expectations of her gender. The setting of Tortall provides a rich backdrop filled with knights, magic, and political intrigue, serving as a compelling arena for Kel’s tests of character. Throughout the chapters, Kel forms alliances and friendships with diverse characters, deepening the narrative’s exploration of loyalty and courage.
