《Dark Prince》摘要

"Dark Prince" by Christine Feehan is the inaugural novel in the popular Dark series, blending paranormal romance with elements of horror and fantasy. Set in the Carpathian Mountains, the story introduces readers to a race of ancient beings known as Carpathians, who exist in a struggle against becoming vampires. The powerful male protagonist, Mikhail Dubrinsky, is the prince of the Carpathian people. He faces the threat of losing his humanity as darkness encroaches upon him, compelling him to seek a lifemate to revive his dwindling spirit. The narrative follows Mikhail's journey as he seeks to rescue the female lead, Raven Whitney, who possesses unique psychic abilities. Raven, an American woman with a troubled past, becomes an essential element in Mikhail's quest for salvation and connection. Feehan intricately weaves themes of love, destiny, and the battle between light and darkness as Mikhail and Raven navigate their ever-deepening bond amidst external threats. The book employs distinctive frameworks of psychic connection, exploring how their lifemate bond enhances their abilities and allows them to combat the forces of evil. Through an array of atmospheric settings, from dark forests to the elegant castles of the Carpathian realm, readers are immersed in a richly detailed world filled with mystery and danger. "Dark Prince" not only sets the stage for the paranormal saga but also explores the profound emotional connections that can transcend even the darkest of legacies. As an introduction to Feehan's Dark series, the novel effectively establishes its unique lore and sets the tone for the subsequent stories within this compelling universe.
