Resumen de As Good As Dead

"As Good As Dead" by Holly Jackson concludes the gripping *A Good Girl's Guide to Murder* series, finding protagonist Pippa Fitz-Amobi at a crossroads. After the traumatic events of her last investigation, Pip has publicly vowed to put true crime behind her, determined to live a normal life and head to university. However, her past refuses to stay buried when she begins receiving a series of increasingly sinister messages and threats that eerily mirror the calling card of a serial killer she helped expose, leading to dead animals left on her doorstep and unsettling, anonymous phone calls. The threats escalate, targeting not only Pip but also those she holds dear, creating an omnipresent sense of dread within her hometown of Fairview. Despite her pleas, local law enforcement dismisses her concerns, attributing them to paranoia or the actions of a disgruntled fan of her podcast. Feeling abandoned by the system and convinced a dangerous individual is actively hunting her, Pip is forced to confront her resolution to stay out of detective work. With her life and the lives of her loved ones in peril, she embarks on a desperate and morally ambiguous quest to unmask her stalker, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator and pushing her far beyond her breaking point. This final installment delves deep into the psychological toll of Pip’s vigilante justice, exploring themes of consequence, the limitations of the legal system, and the dark path one might take when pushed to the absolute edge. The narrative skillfully interweaves Pip's internal struggle with a high-stakes, cat-and-mouse game, forcing her to make unthinkable choices in her fight for survival and justice. "As Good As Dead" culminates Pip's journey from an innocent schoolgirl to a jaded, desperate individual, revealing the profound and lasting impact of her pursuit of truth.
