"American Vampire (Big Break / Bad Blood)" by Scott Snyder is a compelling collection that deepens the mythology of the American Vampire universe, intertwining two distinct story arcs, "Big Break" and "Bad Blood." Set against the backdrop of the 20th century, the story explores the evolution of vampires, portraying them in stark contrast to traditional depictions. Snyder expertly employs flashbacks and interconnected narratives, enhancing the reader's understanding of how personal histories impact present actions.
